Learn how we are
Elevating our communities
JGL recognizes strong communities are the fabric of well-being for our customers, employees, partners and their families. JGL is dedicated to partnering with farms and likeminded organizations in elevating our communities by putting commitment into action through our contributions, employee efforts, and various sponsorships and partnerships. We invest in opportunities that make lasting improvements to communities where we live, work, and play.
Through the years, citizenship and volunteerism have been a priority for JGL and our employees alike. By encouraging and empowering our employees to support their charitable interests, we help make a difference across a wider area of reach. We can all elevate our communities by empowering our workforce to harness their skills for good and strengthen our communities.
Our strategic commitment to elevating our communities includes the following:
Supporting community health & wellness
Supporting rural First Responders
Supporting & encouraging youth education in agriculture

Helping build
Healthy, active communities
Community health is a prescription for active, thriving communities. JGL has a long-standing focus on improving the quality of life enjoyed by residents in our communities through the ongoing support of health, wellness, and rural care. To accomplish these goals, JGL aligns our community support efforts with our corporate strategy to encourage and improve healthy, active lifestyles in the communities where we live, work and play.
Standing with
Rural First Responders
When emergencies happen in rural areas, response time often depends on a few volunteer first responders serving a large geographic area. These first responders are often the first to arrive at an emergency or disaster scene. They provide services essential to the response and the community. JGL is committed to supporting and investing in partnerships and events that help ensure rural first responders and residents have access to essential equipment and tools necessary to save more lives, preserve more properties and protect our first responders.

A stronger future begins with
Investing in the next generation
The founders of JGL have always believed that investing in young people with a passion for agriculture is essential to the industry’s future. To put that belief into action, the JGL Legacy Scholarship was established in 2012. Each year, scholarships are awarded to deserving students across the Prairies who are pursuing post-secondary education, with special consideration for those enrolled in agriculture-related programs. By supporting their education, JGL is helping ensure that rural Saskatchewan continues to grow and thrive.
Beyond scholarships, JGL is proud to support Agriculture in the Classroom-SK (AITC-SK), a nonprofit charitable organization that brings agricultural education to more than 70,000 youth across the province every year. Through hands-on activities, engaging programs, and classroom resources, AITC-SK helps students of all ages gain a deeper understanding of where their food comes from, and inspires many to consider a future in agriculture.
Together, these initiatives reflect JGL’s ongoing commitment to cultivating the next generation of leaders in agriculture.
