Learn how we are
Elevating our communities
JGL recognizes strong communities are the fabric of well-being for our customers, employees, partners and their families. JGL is dedicated to partnering with farms and likeminded organizations in elevating our communities by putting commitment into action through our contributions, employee efforts, and various sponsorships and partnerships. We work tirelessly to make lasting improvements and investments in the communities where we live, work and play.
Through the years, citizenship and volunteerism have been a priority for JGL and our employees alike. By encouraging and empowering our employees to support their charitable interests, we help make a difference across a wider area of reach. We can all elevate our communities by empowering our workforce to harness their skills for good and strengthen our communities.
Our strategic commitment to elevating our communities includes the following:
Supporting community health & wellness
Supporting rural First Responders
Supporting & encouraging youth education in agriculture

Helping build
Healthy, active communities
Community health is a prescription for active, thriving communities. JGL has a long-standing focus on improving the quality of life enjoyed by residents in our communities through the ongoing support of health, wellness, and rural care. To accomplish these goals, JGL aligns our community support efforts with our corporate strategy to encourage and improve healthy, active lifestyles in the communities where we live, work and play.
When emergencies happen in rural areas, response time often depends on a few volunteer first responders serving a large geographic area. These first responders are often the first to arrive at an emergency or disaster scene. They provide services essential to the response and the community. JGL is committed to supporting and investing in partnerships and events that help ensure rural first responders and residents have access to essential equipment and tools necessary to save more lives, preserve more properties and protect our first responders.

A stronger future begins with
Investing in the next generation
The JGL founders have long believed that investment in young people keen on the business of agriculture has been integral to the growth and success of JGL. To nurture the next generations in agriculture, the JGL Legacy Scholarship was established in 2012. The annual scholarships aim to promote growth in rural Saskatchewan by re-investing in its greatest resource – young people.
Each year, the JGL Legacy Scholarship is awarded to 10 deserving young people in the Prairie South School Division who reside in rural Saskatchewan and are enrolled in post-secondary education, with special consideration given to those enrolled in an Agriculture related program.
